Directions

• Wash before first use by opening the chamber and washing in warm soapy water.
•  Ensure that the filter is completely dry before use. It may be helpful to blow through it to clear water.
• Baby nose-clear is non-evasive and does not need to be sterilised, unless it is being used by more than one infant, in which case it should be sterilised between infants by your chosen method.
• Place the nozzle at the end of baby’s nostril (not inside) and suck through the mouthpiece to clear any visible mucus or blockage. The congestion will collect in the sealed chamber which is hygienically protected by a filter to prevent any chance of suck back.
• The Carer has complete control by varying the level of continuous suction and by monitoring the process through the translucent plastic. The design of the device means that it is not possible to over suck or cause baby any harm.
• If the mucus is particularly dry or sticky, it can be softened with saline prior to using the device. Saline drops can be prescribed or bought over the counter. They can be made at home by dissolving ½ a teaspoon of salt to 1 cup of pre-boiled warm water.
