Buscopan Cramps

 Description

• Targeted relief from stomach pain and discomfort and abdominal cramps. It works by an antispasmodic effect, relaxing the cramping muscle of the stomach and bowel
• It can also be used for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Directions

• Swallow tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

For spasm of the stomach or bowel

• Adults, and children 12 years or over - 2 tablets four times a day
• Children 6 to 12 years - 1 tablet 3 times a day
• Children under 6 - Not recommended

For the relief of abdominal pain in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

• Adults, and children 12 years or over  - Start by taking 1 tablet 3 times a day
• You can increase your dose to a maximum of 2 tablets four times a day, if needed
• Children under 12 - Not recommended

Caution

• Do not take this medicine if any of the above applies to you. If you are not sure, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before taking this medicine
• Check with your pharmacist or doctor if you are 40 years or over
• Do not exceed the stated dose
• Keep out of sight and reach of children

Do not take Buscopan Cramps if

• You have an allergy to hyoscine butylbromide or any of the other ingredients of Buscopan Cramps
• You are intolerant to or cannot digest some sugars (as the tablet coating contains a small amount of sucrose)
• You have glaucome (an eye problem)
• You have megacolon (a very enlarged bowel)
• You have something called 'myasthenia gravis' (a very rare muscle weakness problem)
• You are pregnant, likely to get pregnant, or are breast feeding
