Vantage Dry Cough Linctus

Description

• Cough suppressant for the symptomatic relief of dry, unproductive, irritating coughs

Active Ingredient

Each 5ml contains 

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide BP 10mg

Directions

• For oral use
• Adults, the elderly and children over 12 - two 5ml spoonfuls up to four times daily
• Children aged 7-12 - one 5ml spoonful up to four times daily
• Children under 7 - Not recommended

Caution

• May cause drowsiness and dizziness
• If affected, do not drive or operate machinery
• Avoid alcoholic drink
• Do not exceed the stated dose
• Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or during a severe asthma attack
• The colouring E124 may cause allergic reactions
• Do not use after the expiry date
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you accidently take too much
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms persist or notice any unusual side effects

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if

• Pregnant or breast-feeding
• Yo suffer from liver disease
• Taking any other medicines, particularly central nervous system depressants (those that cause drowsiness)
• Within two weeks of taking monoamine oxidise inhibitors including furazolidone, pargyline and procarbazine
• You have an intolerance to some sugars i.e glucose or sorbitol

Side Effects

• Side effects are rare and may include nausea, vomiting, stomach ache, dizziness and drowsiness
